Roger C Thomas, DVM

Dr. Thomas, a native of Smiths Grove, KY, grew up on a family dairy, tobacco, and horse farm and raised chocolate labs. Dr. Thomas graduated from Warren East High School in northern Warren County and from there he attended Centre College in Danville, KY. After one year away from agriculture, he realized his place was close to the farm and moved back to south central Kentucky to attend Western Kentucky University for the three remaining years of undergraduate studies and obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture Business. Dr. Thomas then attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine from 2000 to 2004, where he was an active member of Alpha Psi Fraternity.  After obtaining his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, he accepted a position with Burke Veterinary Services in Hardinsburg, KY. In November of 2006, Dr. Thomas moved back to Smiths Grove and on Jan 2nd 2007, he opened  the doors to Thomas Veterinary Services.

Dr. Thomas lives on the family farm with his wife, Deidre, two children, Olvia Jo and Carson, and their chocolate lab, Ellie Mae.

In his spare time, he enjoys time outdoors at the lake with his family.

 

 

 

 

Travis England, DVM

Dr. Travis England was born and raised in Hardyville, KY, a small town in Hart County on his parents' dairy and tobacco farm. He attended Western Kentucky University where he majored in Animal Science and went on to obtain a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Dr. England accepted his position with Thomas Veterinary Services shortly after recieving his degree in May of 2010. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with special interest in food animal medicine and small animal surgery.

Dr. England resides in Smiths Grove, KY with his wife, Whitney, and their daughter, Millie Kate. In his spare time, Dr. England enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Dr. England's parents , Jimmy and Judy England, still operate the family farm in Hart County.

Wesley Dyer, DVM

Dr. Wesley Dyer was raised in Bugtussle, a small community in south central Kentucky next to the TN line. Growing up, Dr. Dyer spent most of his time raising horses and managing a dairy farm. He graduated from Monroe County High School in 2006, at which point he attended Western Kentucky University for four years. Following WKU, he went on to obtain his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Soon after graduation, Dr. Dyer accepted his position with Thomas Veterinary Services. He enjoys working with both large and small animals, with a paticular interest in equine medicine.

 

Dr. Dyer currently resides in Bon Ayr, KY. He has a beautiful daughter, Lena, that keeps him busy and in their spare time, they enjoy playing with their three dogs. They also enjoy spending time with family and being outdoors.

 

 

 

Dr. Aaron Duggin

Dr. Duggin was born in middle Tennessee where his family raised beef cattle. As a teenager, he and his family moved to Glasgow, KY, where they started milking dairy cattle. After graduating from Barren County High School in 2010, he attended Western Kentucky University where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Biology. He then received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2018. Soon after graduation Dr. Duggin accepted his position with Thomas & England Veterinary Services. He enjoys both large and small animal medicine and surgery.

 

Dr. Duggin currently lives in Smiths Grove with his wife, Odessa and their 2 dogs, Gunner and Belle. In their spare time they enjoy camping and being outdoors.

Amanda Coomer Hood



 

Amanda was born and raised in Barren Co. on a small dairy, tobacco, and hay farm between Glasgow and Cave City. She grew up milking and showing registered Holstein dairy cattle. She graduated from WKU with a Bachelors of Science degree in Agriculture in 2000. She and her huband, Allen Hood, own Limestone Hill Farm just outside of Glasgow. Amanda has a daughter Haley, employed by Southland Dairy Farmers and also works on the farm, a son Kaleb, that farms and is employed by Kentucky Dept. of Transportation and a stepson, Austin. Amanda also has a Boxer named Max . In her spare time she spends time with her husband and children on the farm and showing cows. Amanda has been with TEVS since 2007, starting just 2 weeks after the practice opened.

 

 

 

Kaitlin Sisk

Kaitlin grew up in Edmonson Co. KY, just outside of Brownsville, on her family’s dairy farm. She served as KY State FFA Secretary after graduating high school. During her tenure in office she met her husband, Brandon, who shows reg. beef cattle. Kaitlin graduated from WKU in 2012. Kaitlin and her husband enjoy showing cattle and helping out on the family farm in their spare time. Kaitlin began working at TEVS as part of a co-op program in high school and has been with us since July of 2008.

Tyler Causey

Tyler graduated from Greenwood High School in 2010 and lives in Alvaton, KY. He is a large/small animal technician and spends his spare time riding 4wheelers with friends. He also enjoys hanging out with his Miniature Jack Russell, Rodeo, and Red Heeler, Sissy. Tyler joined our staff in 2011.

Carlissa Ransom

Carlissa is a native of Scottsville, KY. She grew up showing registered dairy cattle and working on her family’s farm. She received her Veterinary Technician degree from Animal Behavioral College in 2011 and is a small animal technician here at Thomas Veterinary Services. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her French Bulldog named Karolyne. Carlissa joined our staff in 2012.

Seth Allen

Seth was born and r​aised in Bowling Green KY. He graduated from Greenwood High School then attended Brescia University for two years on a soccer scholarship before transferring to Western Kentucky University where he graduated with a Biology degree and with minors in Chemistry and Biophysics . After moving back to this area he met and married his wonderful wife Christy and together they have two boys, Preston and Fisher. Seth and his family now live in Chicken Bristle, KY with their French Bulldog, Bumbles, Australian Shepherd, Trip, and Irish Setter, Cinnamon . Seth has been with TEVS since 2009.

Megan Watt

Megan is originally from Grass Lake, MI, where she grew up showing Shorthorn cattle and Hampshire pigs in 4H & FFA. She received an Associate Degree in Agriculture Business Management & Technology  from the University of Northwestern Ohio, where she also played volleyball. She moved to Kentucky in 2017 and is currently working on her Veterinary Technician degree. Megan now resides in Oakland, KY, with her husband, Thomas. Megan spends her free time playing with her dog, Beau and their cows.

Kolton Crump

Kolton is a native of Bowling Green KY. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 2014 and is currently  pursing a degree in animal science/prevet  from WKU. He recently joined the staff at TEVS as a large/small animal technician.

Kolton enjoys hunting, fishing and hanging out with his black Lab, Chief in his spare time
